Jahessye Shockley Missing since 10/11/11Look at this beautiful little girl, she has been missing for weeks from her home in Glendale, AZ,,,,,I have not seen much media attention and coverage on her, and it puzzles as well as troubles me that when one of our kids go missing that they don't garner the same media attention individuals of other races do,,,,,,Nancy Grace will run a story for months and years as in the case with Casey Anthony about her missing and later found dead daughter but when black children go missing, she may give them a 5 minute viewing and a short description,,,,I remember the Casey Anthony case being the talk of Barbershops, Beauty Salons and even Soul Food Restaurants, you would hear about her at the club, laundromat and the supermarket, there has been no talk of little Jahessye Shockley, this saddens me to my core because this is a beautiful little girl that has gone missing and the entire world needs to be looking for her and because I too am a mother and I could not imagine my child to not be considered as important as other missing children. Why is it that we remain so uninformed about what is happening in our communities? Why do we show such a blatant disregard for the issues that effect our everyday existence, and isn't it obvious yet that they don't care about what happens to us, happens to our children,,,,,I pray everyday for this little angels safe return, I pray for her family, they are receiving alot of negative attention right now, that may or may not be warranted, however the issue here is we have a little black girl missing, she is somebody's child, she is GOD's child and she could easily be any of our children,,,,written off, searches called off, Amber Alert canceled with no one to speak of her again,,,,,if we continue to allow ourselves to be casted out, we won't exist.
